Spartanburg Housing offers a scholarship opportunity annually to residents in Public Housing and Participants of the Housing Choice Voucher program to assist in their pursuit of higher education. This scholarship is for post-secondary educational opportunities at college or technical schools. The Scholarship Fund was established in 1997.

In 2004, the scholarship was renamed Marche Gault Scholarship Fund in honor of former Resident Services employee, who passed away in 2003. She was instrumental in developing youth services programming including a choir, track team, and after school programs.
